Human BCMA(1-22) Protein, mFc Tag PME101367
Specifications
| 10µg / 50µg / 100µg |
Alternative names:
BCM; TNFRSF17; CD269
Description:
Recombinant human BCMA(1-22) Protein with C-terminal mouse Fc tag
Background:
B-cell maturation protein (BCMA or BCM), is also known as Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 17 (TNFRSF17), which is encoded by the TNFRSF17 gene. TNFRSF17 is a cell surface receptor of the TNF receptor superfamily which recognizes B-cell activating factor (BAFF). This receptor is expressed in immune organs and mature B cell lines. BCMA promotes B-cell survival and plays a role in the regulation of humoral immunity. BCMA can activate NF-kappa-B and JNK.
Molecular characterization:
BCMA(Met1-Ile22) mFc(Pro99-Lys330)
Molecular weight:
The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 28.6 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of BCMA(1-22)-mFc is approximately 25-35 kDa due to glycosylation.
Tag:
C-mouse Fc tag
Expression host:
HEK293
Target:
BCMA
Purity:
The purity of the protein is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining.
Formulation / Reconstitution:
Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. Normally 5 % - 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization. Please see Certificate of Analysis for specific instructions.
Storage:
Store at -20°C to -80°C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -80°C (Avoid repeated freezing and thawing). Lyophilized proteins are shipped at ambient temperature.
